Pâtisserie Glacé

As mentioned at didi’s birthday entry, i got a couple of cakes from Pâtisserie Glacé for myself mostly *hide* :P

My favourite of the lot gotta be Fromage Blanc.

It’s low fat!

But that’s not the reason why i love it though ;)

Er, pardon the plastic wrap! Crap.. now you can’t see clearly >.<

This one is kinda too sweet for me. I prefer Canele’s i think – It has been sometime since i ate Canele’s Mont Blanc.

Furthermore, if i’m not wrong, Canele was much more generous when it comes to the the chestnut paste.

Deep down in my heart, i knew didi would pick this cake to be his birthday cake.

And i was spot on!

Mothersss….. :P

Strawberry Shortcake.

Light, yes.

Forgettable, yes.

Hee.

And then we’ve got the one cake that impressed me least – Chocolat De Noeh.

I will definitely not buy this again?

Not that it is awful but.. i rather pile the calories on some better yum yum. Nasty! (me) :P

Last but not least, Double Rare Cheese Mango.

Honestly.

This did nothing for me either.

Maybe because i’m not big on mango cakes? Taste pretty much like one of my very own though mine was a mousse and not cheese, and minus the mango cubes too. But mine’s definitely heavier compare to Glace’s.

Regardless, i still no likey mango cakes. I got it for the husband actually :)

Oh, not forgetting the cake on the background for most of these shots.

It was Maison.

Which i didn’t manage to sample.

Oh yeah, as usual.. crappy shots lately!

How embarrassing compare to the many pros out there.

So, would i go back to Glace again?

Don’t think so…. but if i do go back, it’d be because i wanna try out the other cakes. Otherwise, $30+ for 6 cakes aren’t worth it in my opinion.

But the lady boss was really nice, sweet and friendly. Excellent service!

If only all the bakery’s owners are like her.

Singapore then might have a lot more chubby people like myself! (which may not be a good thing aye? Ironic me. Ha!)
