They are skinnier.

They are greener.

They are yummier.

They are, not your usual green beans…

They are still green beans to me.

(not sure if they’ve another name though)

Like what our Vietnamese guide likes to say, same same but different!

Initially, i wanted to stir fry them with chai poh (salted radish) with a teeny bit of minced pork.

Unfortunately, i forgot to replenish the finished-chai poh.

So, with minced garlic and pounded dried shrimps it is!

Still tasty nevertheless ;)

Chinese stir fry green beans

400-500g green beans, washed and dried

a handful of dried shrimps, soaked, dried and pounded

5-7 cloves of garlic, minced

a dash or 2 of fish sauce

2-3 tbsp olive oil

Remove ends from the beans.

Heat pan on high heat. Add oil.

Stir in garlic and dried shrimps together till golden.

Add in the beans and stir fry for at least 4-5 minutes. Add a dash or 2 of the fish sauce and continue to stir fry till green beans are tender but still a little crunchy.
