I’ve been mulling over this idea for the longest time but i was pretty skeptical about it for i do not have what it takes to do it. Don’t get me wrong, i still don’t… But i was reminded that life is short, live like there’s no tomorrow!
So here i am, materializing this year-long thought/ idea of mine — conducting baking demo. I did give myself this deadline you know… to make it happen after my short holiday (we came back yesterday!). “No more buts”, i told myself. :)
The class :
- small and personal.
Number 7 appeals to me somehow.
- will be held at my pig sty.
So if you don’t mind, sign yourself up!

That’s right. I’m gonna do it for free. Not a single cent from you. Of course, if you feel uncomfortable about it, you can always Pay It Forward, in any form or any way you fancy BUT not to me. ;)
- Strictly for females only.
Sorry, but for the time being, the demo class is only open to females only… unless you are someone i know personally.
- Strictly for beginners!

So why am i doing this?
Mainly because i know how hard it is to take the first step and start baking away. When i first started, it was frustrating. No one was there to help or advise me… Too many alien baking terms which i couldn’t figure out by just reading. In short, i don’t know how or where to start!
But the thing is, judging from the comments and looking at my statistic details… i think most of you who read this blog already know how to bake! In fact, a lot of you are a much better baker than i am. Hee! So i really have zero idea how well the response will be like to this silly idea of mine.
The first demo class would be held on a Saturday, 30th July 2011 — TBC of course. I mean, what if no one is interested right?!?!?! :P

I think it is a great idea. I always believe is sharing our knowledge. I am giving free cooking and baking lessons here too for friends and we have great time bonding with each other every month.

thats not a silly idea. its a wonderful way of contributing to the baking community and promoting the love of baking. I can understand where you are coming from because I have the same thoughts too. great minds do think alike, haha =].
