We were very fortunate to secure 4 very valuable preview tickets to the National Parade this year. The husband has been wanting to bring me to one eon years ago but we never managed to win any before. Then we stopped trying completely.
This year (and many years before), when we have given up hope to see NDP ever, we were asked if we wanted any! *woots!*
Of course i jumped at it. Strangely, the husband was quite reluctant to go already. Too many people wor.. I was like HUH??!?! Wahahahhahaha.. totally weird right? Not as though the years before were not crowded like that!
But *ahem*.. maybe because “the years before” was when the kids were too young to go! ;Pp
Nevertheless, we had a blast. All 4 of us. Except poor beep, who couldn’t tag along because the tickets weren’t enough :(
psstt : till today, he still talks about it.. about wanting to go with us :((

You know, sometimes i think i am more patriotic than alot of Singaporeans.
Having to live in 2 other countries before now, i really appreciate what the Singapore government does for its citizens. To be fair, perhaps it is because i have not lived in more countries hence my thoughts? Often enough, i get friends / acquaintance asking me why do i love Singapore so much. A lot of times, i don’t bother to really try to answer that question anymore.
Once, i even tried standing up for Singapore government, defending them to no end in an online forum and even got myself into hot soup and name callings by the real deal Singaporeans after seeing how these Singaporeans girls complained, insulted what their government has been doing for them.
Silly am i not?!
I’m not even a Singaporean!
LOL.
But seriously… i personally feel a lot of Singaporeans really take things (or rather, their government) for granted. They expect too much too, aduh! :P
(but this doesn’t mean i hate / dislike peeps who i don’t see eye to eye to on certain issues *wink*)
Having said that, i have to admit that without negativity, improvement might be slowed down? And i also understand there will always be yin and yang to everything…
Most importantly, one can never please everyone.
Anyway, this is an extremely sensitive topic to be discussed about so i better :X liao.
:))

- ugh. think my PS something wrong. i’d already aligned properly and yet the collage is distorted -
Happy Birthday Singapore!!!
