***ps : my wallet was returned on the following Sunday night by a nice gentleman who refused any sort of reward! it was his friend who found it and obviously, the money was gone but everything else is still there! YAY!!!

**Edited to add : hmm..  i did slip the shoulder bag down to hold it like a shopping bag a couple of times.. so perhaps… ? ugh. think about it no more!

I am still in shock.

I can’t believe my wallet together with my small handcarry bag got stolen just like that, without me knowing. The thing is, my handcarry bag was inside my shoulder bag, which i had been carrying the whole time. What is more amazing is that the handle of my shoulder bag is so short and fitting that it almost touches my armpit!

So, how is it possible for the thief to steal???!?!?!

It’s rather puzzling.

But as i was told by the information counter officer, everything is possible. NEVER underestimate the thieves, she said.

Sigh.

In less than 15 minutes after i sent off a long-overdue parcel for a gf, then off to drop off a book at the library, thereafter to a boutique where i wanted to make my belt purchase, the wallet got fished out just like that. Without my knowledge. From the small opening of my shoulder bag which was just under my pits. UNBELIEVABLE!!

What made me really sad was not the money i had in it.

It was my beloved ugly and worn out wallet, 8 years old wallet to be exact.

I love love love that ugly wallet very very much i tell you. With all the fancy ones out there these days, i don’t think i can buy another one like the one i had. On top of that, it meant something to me. It was special. It was my first present from hubby after we got married, which he zoomed me off to buy on his very first motorbike.

*sniffs*

Of course, not to mention the much hassle that i have to go through to replace everything i have in the wallet, namely the IC, license, cards (more than 10!) and my other nonsense which i treasure.

In addition, the lost of my small hand carry suede-like all black bag!!! Though it was only a $5 bag from Watson 5 years ago, i love it very very much too. In fact, i loved it so much that i went to get another one in brown the very next day. It was very practical and flexible, i could bring it to wet market in the morning and then bring it with me when i was out on a date with hb at night. No one will ever suspect a thing!

It was big enough for me to have my wallet, handphones, keys and tissue but small and convenient enough for me just to lug it (be it to swing it around just like that or slip it to my forearm though i was carrying a basket or carry it like a shoulder bag, just under the underarms just the way i liked it) around without all the hoo-haas. Plus, it’s washable and i sooo can rough it out with it.

Oh well, at least i still have my brown one.

Sigh.

But.

Strangely, i still harbour this tiny hope though.

Hoping and praying that the kind thief or anyone kind who might see it in the drain/rubbish bin will send the remaining of the not-useful-nor-valuable items back to me, together with the ugly and worn out wallet.
